According to Maggie Montez, SVP with CB Richard Ellis, theneighborhood center will capitalize on the growing North PalmDesert and North Indio communities, including Sun City Palm Desert.Stater Bros. is finalizing drawings with the County of Riverside,and construction is scheduled to begin in April. Walgreen's willbegin construction shortly thereafter, with the center scheduled toopen in the fall of this year.
Leasing activity has grown substantially since the confirmationof the two anchor tenants, according to Montez. She says thatinterest from national and local shop tenants for the project hasbeen very strong, with several tenants, such as Mario's ItalianCafé, Postal Annex and Tarbell Realtors already open.
