BEVERLY HILLS, CA-Galaxy Commercial Holding of Beverly Hills hasslated a summer opening of an 11-story former office building at8601 Wilshire Blvd. that the developer is converting into a 37-unitluxury apartment tower called the Blu. Galaxy expects the firstresidents will move into the building this summer, into units ofone and two bedrooms that will range from 900 sf to 1,300 sf andare expected to rent for $4,000 to $7,000.

Designed by Gensler, the Blu occupies a spot in what Galaxycalls "the new luxury lifestyle district within Beverly Hills." Thelocation is close to West Hollywood, Restaurant Row on La CienegaBoulevard and the shopping of Rodeo Drive and Beverly Center.
