NEW YORK CITY-The Platinum condo project, currently being constructed at 46th Street and Eighth Avenue, has sold 70 units after the sales office has been open less than a month. The Marketing Directors Inc., led by president Adrienne Albert, is exclusively selling the units.

The 43-story, 220-condo project broke ground this past fall. The $250-million project is slated to be completed during summer 2008, with move-ins scheduled for that time. According to a spokeswoman for SJP Residential, the project's developer, units range in size from 600 sf to 3,500 sf and contain one, two or three bedrooms. Prices for the amenity-rich, luxury condo begin at $700,000 and expand up to $7.5 million for the penthouse suite that includes a terrace.

With 150 units left to sell and over a year before residents can begin moving their boxes in, the spokeswoman tells GlobeSt.com that every unit should be sold prior to the projects completion. The project includes a stone and glass lobby with a 26-foot long fireplace and island surrounded by water. Past the lobby, the building will also contain a spa lounge, social sauna, yoga studios, golf simulator, fitness center and outdoor terrace. There will also be a 24-hour doorman and valet service for the 100-space underground parking garage. Platinum will also house a small retail component, which will be filled by a bank, according to the spokeswoman.

"Platinum is an original--a one-of-a-kind condominium building--like no other ever built in the city," says Allen Goldman, SJP Residential president. "Platinum has no peer in Manhattan. It's a 24/7 experience, evoking excitement, emotion and power at every turn."
