LYNDHURST, NJ-Avalon Bay Communities Inc. has cut the ribbon on its latest residential community in New Jersey, Avalon Lyndhurst. It's the company's fourth property in Northern New Jersey--the others are in Edgewater, Florham Park and Jersey City--and ninth overall.
And Avalon Lyndhurst is putting 328 upscale rental units up for lease, according to Ron Ladell, vice president of development in the Woodbridge office of AvalonBay, which is headquartered in Alexandria, VA. The apartment contingent is made up of a combination of studios, one- and two-bedroom units.
"It has close proximity to business centers, such entertainment centers as the Meadowlands and Riverside Park, and New York City," Ladell says. "We feel it is an example of the kind of smart growth development that the State of New Jersey welcomes."
The opening bulks AvalonBay's holdings to 171 apartment communities totaling more than 49,400 units in 10 states and Washington, DC.
