The property, which occupies the northwest corner of Sands Avenue and Paradise Road, was the only piece of land abutting Wynn Las Vegas that Wynn Resorts did not own. The company now owns all land bounded by Las Vegas Boulevard and Paradise Road on the west and east, and East Desert Inn Road and Sands Avenue on the north and south. A Wynn Resorts representative did not respond to a request for comment on its future plans for the property.

Acquired for $5 million about 10 years ago, the Chamber sold its long-time headquarters in favor of leased space at Town Square, a new $750-million, 117-acre mixed-use project nearing completion on Las Vegas Boulevard South, just south of East Sunset Road. Chamber spokesperson Cara Roberts says the Chamber had outgrown its space in the headquarters building and because the term remaining on the subleases wouldn't have been able to absorb additional space "for quite some time."

In addition, she says Towne Square is more centrally located for visitors and members and the build-out will allow for more member amenities, such as a business and research center and a member lounge. The Chamber signed a 10-year lease for its new digs and expects to make the move in November.
