In August, the company acquired the Center at Gratigny in Miami for $90 million. In January, sales started for Lee Vista Business Commons, a $12-million, 125,000-sf class A warehouse and office condominium development located just north of the Orlando International Airport within Lee Vista Center. Construction has started on the project with occupancy slated for November.

Edwards tells GlobeSt.com that the company currently has about one million sf of warehouse, distribution and office space in the Orlando area, but is looking to grow its portfolio. In addition to Orlando, the company will concentrate on Jacksonville, Tampa and Lakeland. "We focus on markets with strong fundamentals and strong growth," Edwards says. "A lot of companies are importing and exporting products through Florida."

Prior to joining the company, Edwards served as a development associate for the Morgan Group, a developer of luxury multifamily residences. He was involved with site selection/acquisition, market analysis, due diligence, financial analysis and other duties associated with multifamily projects.
