The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Washington, DC, has inaugurated an online resource center to support developers engaged in "green," or sustainable development. The address is www.naiop.org/greenresource.
"NAIOP and its member companies are interested in the opportunities that green development can bring to the commercial real estate industry," says Thomas J. Bisacquino, the group's president. "Toward that effort, we felt it was important to create this online center as a resource for our members and the industry at-large. Green-related resources are invaluable as our members learn more about how 'green' can be implemented into their own business practices."
The site brings together a collection of resources, ranging from publications to current legislative issues and upcoming education opportunities. Also available are green-related columns and features from NAIOP's quarterly magazine, links to publications in the NAIOP bookstore and information on sustainable-associated research conducted by the NAIOP Research Foundation.
