Vartuli built the property in 1981. The building is currently 65% leased to primarily medical offices.
Tom O'Leary, senior director of Cushman & Wakefield of Connecticut, represented the seller and procured the buyer. He has been reappointed exclusive leasing agent for the property by the new ownership.
"The completion of this transaction demonstrates the strength and demand of properties within the Fairfield County office market," O'Leary states. "The building was on the market for a short amount of time and generated a significant response from the investment community." He adds that the sale took just four months from the onset of marketing to closing.
Everest Partners, which owns a portfolio in excess of 3.6 million sf of office, flex and retail space, also owns 470 West Ave., a 55,000-sf office building in Stamford.
