SUWANEE, GA-Siemens Power Generation has leased 176,820 sf, an entire building at 675 Old Peachtree Rd. in the Northbrook business park. With the 10-year lease, Siemens will move from a West Midtown distribution center it has occupied since 1941. Siemens, formerly a division of Westinghouse until its sale in 1998, will use the new location for East Coast distribution of mobile tool kits used in power plant maintenance.
"Northbrook gives us room to grow and better enables us to serve our East Coast customers," says Irv Hollins, of Siemens. "The efficiency that can be obtained at this new location will allow us to effectively serve customers throughout the Southeast and the Atlantic Coast."
The building where the lease was signed is owned by Indianapolis-based Duke Realty Corp. Brent Weitnauer, of CB Richard Ellis, represented Siemens in the transaction. Hollins coordinated the company's efforts to find new distribution space in Atlanta. Vice president of leasing Brian Sutton represented Duke.
Northbrook business park is a 292-acre park located on Old Peachtree Rd. which opened in 1985. The tenant roster includes Kubota Tractors, Volvo, OKI Telecom, and Anixter Corp.
