The four-story building is owned by Indianapolis-based Duke Realty Corp. Rob Binion, of Lavista Associates, represented the tenant and Duke Realty Corp. leasing representative Wes Hardy represented the landlord. "Huntcrest is a great fit for a rapidly growing company like Covenant, and we're fortunate that they decided to join us," Hardy says. "Their timing is perfect as we're seeing a flurry of activity in the Sugarloaf market and expect the class A office market to tighten significantly by the end of the year."

Covenant, which provides third party administrative, managed care, risk management and correctional managed healthcare services, was seeking to move its operations from the Johns Creek submarket to the Sugarloaf submarket. The company is expected to occupy the space in mid-summer, Hardy tells GlobeSt.com. "The new space was a way for the company to control its growth and increase its visibility," he says.

With the lease, the building is approximately 75% occupied. The building, part of Duke's four-building Hillside at Huntcrest office development, offers access and visibility to Interstate 85 and Sugarloaf Parkway. Covenant is occupying space formerly occupied by KMC Telecom, which vacated approximately 150,000 sf of space within the park. "We're trying to back fill some of that space," Hardy says. "This is the first major lease signed for that space."
