SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - In a deal marking a headquarters relocation, Technick Products has acquired the 30,349-sf industrial building at 238 Saint Nicholas Ave. here for an undisclosed price. The seller of the previously vacant asset, which is situated on a 1.6-acre site in this Middlesex County community, was B&B Holdings LLC.
"They had been looking extensively for the past year and a half for a facility capable of sustaining their growing operations," says Terry Armstrong of the Fairfield, NJ office of Grubb & Ellis, who represented Technick in the transaction. Armstrong is also currently marketing for sale Technick's existing headquarters building at 665 Martin St. in Rahway, NJ.
Technick Products is a 22-year-old company that develops additives for the plastics and rubber industry, as well as such products as water release agents, cleaning compounds and non-halogenated flame retardants. The company has introduced its products to North American, Europe and Asia, and besides its local operations has facilities in South Korea.
