Fewin will oversee North Texas and Holland gets South Texas plus oversight for the Austin-San Antonio office, which has Scott Senese as its day-to-day operations leader and managing director. Fewin and Holland both hail from the TCC ranks like Long, who was promoted July 1.
"I think it's an opportunity to collaborate between Dallas and Houston, and obviously San Antonio and Austin, and provide a cohesive service to our clients statewide," Fewin tells GlobeSt.com. "There are a number of clients that are common between the North Texas region and South Texas region. There is an opportunity to create synergies."
Fewin and Holland will report directly to Jim Reid, president of CBRE's Eastern Division, who was responsible for backfilling Long's slot. "He came to the conclusion, which I think was a very wise one for John and me to lead Texas. They are roles that we're very familiar with, and with each other, that led to the decision," adds Fewin, who started with TCC in 1986 and rose to area director.Holland also spent 20 years at TCC before its merger with CBRE. He oversaw all development and services for Houston's office division and later led the global services team in South Texas.
Fewin and Holland also will co-chair the Texas Operating Committee and sit on CBRE's Eastern Division executive committee. "We are fortunate to have Mark and John at the helm of our Texas operations," Reid says in a press release. "With their leadership skills and experience, augmented by Scott's recent appointment in Austin and San Antonio, we have a world-class leadership team to advance our mission in Texas."
