MIAMI-Designer Donald J. Pliner of Florida has signed a 55,000-sf industrial lease for space at 10800 NW 97th St. within the Flagler Station Business Park. The company, which designs women's and men's shoes, handbags, leatherwear and accessories, will consolidate its operations into a main distribution hub.

The building is 90,000-sf, multi-tenanted class A warehouse distribution facility. The terms of the 10-year lease were not disclosed, but rents for industrial space in that area range from $8.50 to $9.50 per sf.

The landlord, Futernick Properties, was represented by Wayne Romanowski, Cushman & Wakefield. The tenant was represented in the transaction by Miami Beach-based Terranova Corp. senior commercial associate Gordon Messinger. Messinger tells GlobeSt.com that the company selected the location because it had several locations across the country and wanted to consolidate them into one location in Miami.

"We did an extensive search throughout all of Miami-Dade County to find Donald J. Pliner a first-rate building in a location that would offer the much-need accessibility to the Miami International Airport, Port of Miami and Port Everglades," Messinger says. "Flagler Station Business Park accomplished all those objectives."
