ATLANTA-Pittsburgh-based Dick's Sporting Goods has signed a 657,200-sf lease at 3909 Commerce Dr. within Camp Creek Business Center. The company plans to invest $23 million in the new facility, which will be used as a regional distribution center.

The Duke Realty-owned center, which is expected to be open in summer 2008, will have the capacity to service up to 210 stores. "We evaluated sites throughout the southeast region and Camp Creek provided the most efficient distribution point for our expanding Southeastern operations," says Dick's Sporting Goods senior vice president of distribution and transportation Lee Belitsky.

Dick's Sporting Goods was represented in the transaction by Paul Roeser and Bob Robers, in the Staubach Co.'s Atlanta office, and Kris Bjorson, in Staubach's Chicago office. Duke Realty senior vice president Chris Brown represented Duke in the transaction.

The lease brings the occupancy level at Camp Creek Business Center to 97.3% and at Duke's nine-million-sf Atlanta industrial portfolio to 94% leased.
