MONTGOMERY, IL-Caterpillar Logistics Services Inc.,headquartered in Morton, is expanding by 134,960 sf to a total of295,620 sf at the Southgate Commerce Center, 2015 Baseline Rd. Thebuilding is owned by Atlanta-based IDI.

Cat Logistics is awholly owned subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc., which has amanufacturing facility across the street from the building in whichCat Logistics is expanding. The logistics company signed athree-year lease for 160,660 sf in April and are now expanding tooccupy about half of the 580,000-sf building, says Jeff Lanaghan,vice president of leasing and development with IDI. The term willcoincide with their existing lease. EB Brown occupies the rest ofthe building. The asking lease rate for the area is in the "mid-$3range" net, he says.
