BUFORD, GA-Sporting apparel and equipment manufacturer MizunoUSA signed a 301,320-sf lease at Hamilton Mill Business CenterBuilding I. The company, which has its US headquarters in Norcross,will use the space for storage, assembly and distribution of itsproducts. The 10-year lease takes effect Feb. 1.

"Mizuno has an existing facility in Norcross and was looking foranother property in close proximity to it," IDI VP of leasing LisaWard tells GlobeSt.com. "The design of this building suits theirneeds."

Hamilton Mill Business Center is owned by Atlanta-based IDI.Located in the northeast/Interstate 85 industrial submarket ofAtlanta, Building I is a class A, 870,480-sf distribution building.The facility features 32-foot clear height ceilings, a 185-footdeep truck court, 54-foot by 50- to 60-foot column spacing andearly suppression fast response sprinklers. The remaining 569,160sf in the building is vacant. "This is a great deal for IDI," Wardsays. "As a Japanese-owned firm we like the opportunity to dobusiness with other Japanese companies."

Upon final build out, Hamilton Mill Business Center will featureup to 13 buildings totaling four million sf. Also at Hamilton Mill,Office Depot occupies the entire 550,000-sf Building H and GlobalEquipment occupies all of 647,228-sf Building M. Building B, a131,042-sf building, is occupied by MP Equipment Co., theRitescreen Co. and Therapak Corp. Currently, seven of the plannedbuildings, with a total of more than 2.5 million sf, have beenconstructed. Construction on the other six buildings, that willcontain approximately 800,000 sf, has not yet been started, Wardsays.
