The asset is the 12th resort obtained by Playa Hotels in theDominican Republic and Mexico since its creation in 2006. Featuresinclude an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones,conference facilities, numerous lounges and seven full-servicerestaurants, as well as a Kids Club. The resort is situated on the"Amber Coast," a 15-minute drive from the local airport and 10minutes from Puerto Plata.

The complex fits into Playa Hotels' desire forall-inclusive beachfront hotels in the Caribbean, Latin America andMexico. Company officials say negotiations are ongoing to acquireadditional properties in those regions.
