Ebert's role as head of the project management group will be to grow the practice. "We are trying to provide a whole integrated set of services to help our clients with all of their real estate needs," he says. The project management practice "helps clients implement major projects," Ebert says. "The bulk of it is construction of buildings from the ground up, renovation of interiors or major moves."
There are currently regional offices in New York City, Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles with additional staff in Detroit and Portland, OR. Current clients include Royal Bank of Scotland and Goldman Sachs. One of the current projects the group is working on is the renovation of the Crowne Plaza in the Times Square District, he says. The Crowne Plaza was acquired by the City Investment Fund LP last year for $362 million.
