QUEENS, NY-Manhattan Brass and Copper Co. sold a 42,000-sf industrial building in the Maspeth section of this borough to Jeffrey Woo of Mong Chong Long Trading Co. for approximately $200 per sf. The building is located at 56-17 49th Pl.
Long Island City-based Sholom & Zuckerbrot Realty LLC arranged the sale. "Mr. Woo is the owner of the popular Chinese supermarket chain, Hong Kong Supermarket, and this property is across the street from one of his stores," notes Larry Smith, a principal of S&Z.
Smith adds that the buyer intends to use the space as a food storage and distribution center. Woo intends to make minor renovations, according to Smith, such as installing refrigeration and raising the ceiling height. Smith was the exclusive sales agent. Josh Segal of Josh Segal Realty LLC represented the buyer.
