Melford Plaza II is next to Melford Plaza I, which is now substantially leased by ITT Corp., and Lennar Corp. Local and regional tenants round out the tenant roster. The sister building now under construction will feature a white brick and blue ribbon glass exterior and 38,000-sf floor plates.
"We have experienced great leasing success in the past year at Maryland Science and Technology Center, which gives us confidence to proceed with the construction of 145,000 sf of additional product in Prince George's County," says Jerry Wit, SVP-Marketing for St. John Properties. "Interest continues to develop from companies seeking a regional presence in the four-city region, and firms that prefer a suburban location with generous parking and retail amenities that serve the interests of their employee base." Maryland Science and Technology Center now consists of 13 buildings offering approximately 525,000 sf of office space.
