Coaster Co., a national furniture distributor, is relocating from an 180,000-sf building at 560 Supreme Dr., Bensenville, IL that was also constructed by AMB. Construction on the new building began last March, as previously reported by GlobeSt.com.
Coaster Co. is moving to the new facility for "more space, a better location and the technological advances of a new building in terms of logistics and automated systems," says Glen Missner, principal with The Missner Group. The new location "is a highly visible site right on the (Interstate 90) tollway," Missner says.
The new warehouse facility, on a 15.3-acre site, has 18,000 sf of office and showroom space, 30 feet clear ceiling heights and 55 docks. Missner did not disclose the term of the lease except to say that it was "long-term." The lease rate is $6.30 per sf net with yearly escalations. Tim Geisler, with Missner, was the senior project manager. Dayne Anderson was the project engineer and Jim Booth was the project superintendent. Harris Architects was the architect for the project.
