Rising on the northeast corner of I-215 and Town Center Drive,next to the Nevada Cancer Institute, it is the first Element hotelbeing developed in the Western US and the first non-gaming hotel inSummerlin. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter.
The four-story, 80,000-sf hotel will have a contemporarymetal-and-glass look on the outside. sleek The rooms will average400 sf and be outfitted with kitchens featuring stainless steelappliances, Westin's Heavenly Beds and flat-screen televisions.Common-area amenities will include a fitness room, a businesscenter, complimentary breakfast and a landscaped pool deck withfire pits and barbecue areas.
LaPour acquired the site in the fall, paying $2.7 million forthe 2.5-acre site. Published reports have pegged the total projectcost at $19 million. A source at LaPour told GlobeSt.com around thetime of the property acquisition that its estimated value uponcompletion and stabilization is $25 million, or approximately$203,000 per key.
