Plans for the as-yet unnamed resort were unveiled yesterday inOklahoma City. The project will include a 400-room hotel, 10,000-sfspa, 15-screen cinema, 72-lane bowling center and 70,000 sf ofretail. Also on the drawing board is a 2,400-seat performancecenter. The development site is west of Interstate 35 betweenBritton Road and Wilshire Boulevard in the city's "AdventureDistrict."

In November, the tribe acquired the land from Premier Assets for$4.5 million. The developer is Shawnee Development LLC from Miami,OK.

In a press release, Greg Pitcher, chairman of the developmentcompany, says the resort, which will create thousands of jobs, isprojected to have an economic impact of $354 million per year. Hesays tribal leaders are trying to enter into an agreement with cityand county officials for revenue-sharing payments to the localgovernment.
