The project is being developed on 31 acres of land owned by theHousing Authority of Pompano Beach and financed primarily throughthe syndication of Housing Tax Credits sold by Pinnacle toinvestors. Fort Lauderdale-based Pasquale Kuritzky Architecture isthe architect on the project. Keith & Associates, RedeyeLandscape Design, Bryntesen Engineering and MEP of Florida areserving as consultants on the project.

The project will contain one-, two-, three- and four-bedroomunits and rents will range from $640 to $950 per month. Site planapproval was received in April. The project has two parts--the182-unit Golden Square and the 120-unit Golden Villas. Amenitiesinclude two clubhouses, a neighborhood community center, computerlab, fitness center, playground/tot lot and volleyball court.

The size of the unitswill range from 650 sf to 1,200 sf. The project will take about 16months to complete. The project will serve as a catalyst forrevitalization of the neighborhood. "There are some olderstructures that will be razed for make room for the project,"Pasquale says. "The project will provide housing for the low-incomepeople in the area."
