Shook Hardy & Bacon signed a 15-year lease for its space, which it will occupy in April 2009. It plans to relocate from its current location at 600 14th St., occupying the entire second and third floors of the new building. The firm plans to pursue LEED for Commercial Interiors.

Law firms are a typical constituency for buildings in this market. New York City-based Kaye Scholer LLP secured a total of 55,000 sf of office in the East End at 901 15th St. NW last December, for instance. Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, as another example, inked 91,000 sf at 700 Sixth St., which is also under development in the East End by Akridge and Mitsui Fudosan America.
