With construction completed, approximately 300 new residents areexpected to move into the community, which is at 1940 Levante St.,by the end of March. The fourth and final phase represents theculmination of years of planning and construction, according toMichael O'Connor, vice president of marketing for La Costa Glen.The 281-acre community in south Carlsbad near Batiquitos Lagoonfirst opened in 2002.

O'Connor said that phase four reflects the interests and needsof the community's current and future residents. WhenCarlsbad-based Continuing Life was designing the amenities andactivities for its final phase, the company talked with the currentresidents to get their input, he points out. "The clubhouse andfitness activities are especially popular, so we incorporated moreof those features into our final phase, in addition to the indoorpool, movie theater and short-game golf course," he explains.
