CHICAGO-Bradford White has joined the Habitat Co. LLC as senior vice president of acquisitions and development. Most recently in his 20-year career, he served as vice president of Related Midwest LLC, where he managed the development of such properties as Roosevelt Square on this city's Near West Side.

[IMGCAP(2)] AGOURA, CA-Work force and low-income housing developer AMCAL Multi-Housing Inc. has opened up a new satellite location in Orange County and added two new staff members to its Fresno, CA office. Mario Turner will head up the new Irvine office, which will handle the locally based firm's activities in Orange and San Diego counties, including land acquisition, development and entitlement, project financing, tax credit applications and owner representation during the construction process. Meanwhile, Craig R. Smith and Janet Rodriguez have joined the Fresno location. As land development manager, Smith will help in the due diligence of all the new acquisitions, oversee all entitlements for Central Valley projects and coordinate all design team consultants. He was most recently project manager and director of forward planning for John Laing Homes. Rodriguez will serve as development associate, working on due diligence, feasibility analysis, entitlement, design oversight and permitting for residential projects throughout Central and Northern California. She previously worked for the city of Orange Cove, a suburb of Fresno.

LOUISVILLE, KY-The board of directors of seniors housing and healthcare REIT Ventas Inc. has appointed two new members: James Shelton and Robert D. Reed. Shelton is chairman of Legacy Hospital Partners Inc. and prior to that was chairman and chief executive officer for Triad Hospitals Inc. Reed is senior vice president and chief financial officer for Sutter Health.
