MGM and Jordan-based Rubicon are exploring the addition of anumber of entertainment facilities to the projects Sorouh has underdevelopment. Among those developments is Shams Abu Dhabi, a54-million-sf island project currently under construction that willhouse 55,000 residents and will be made up of five tower-studdeddistricts.

Sorouh also has under development the 32.3-million-sf Alghadeer,between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, which is planned for 18,000 residents,as well as the Golf Gardens resort in Abu Dhabi.

Besides their deal with Sorouh, MGM and Rubicon are partneringto start a consumer-products business in the region. Rubiconproduces three-dimensional animated entertainment and has mademultimedia presentations for many large corporations.

"In working with Rubicon on this project, we can develop andcreate unique entertainment destinations in the region," says HarrySloan, MGM's chairman and CEO, in a statement.
