One of the buildings will total 827,000 sf and be used by Crateand Barrel to store its furniture products. The second buildingwill be 398,000 sf and used as a distribution center for itshousewares products. ProLogis will own the buildings and the land.The details of the lease agreement were not released and nototherwise readily available.

Crate & Barrel will use the new facilities to consolidateNorthern California operations that are currently spread amongthree facilities in different cities. The Crate & Barrel Website did not list all three existing warehouses but did list two, ahousewares distribution center at 25084 Schulte Road in Tracy andfurniture distribution facility at 2820 W. Winton in Hayward.

The two new facilities will be the first two developments atProLogis Park Tracy II, a 160-acre site in the Tracy submarket, 50miles east of Oakland and in close proximity to Interstate 5,I-580, I-205 and a Union Pacific rail line. The development will belocated off the southwest corner of Paradise Road and ChrismanRoad. At full build-out, the park will include at least threebuildings for a total of more than 2.8 million sf.
