RiverRock founder John Combs says that the newly createdpositions reflect the expanded responsibilities that Core and Kruishave taken on as the company's property management and leasingportfolio has grown to more than 8.5 million sf since Combsestablished the firm in 2003. RiverRock has grown both internallyand through joint ventures, including its recent JV with Wilson JohnsonCommercial in Southern California and a Northern Californiajoint venture called Diablo RiverRock Inc.


Core, who has more than 20 years of experience in propertymanagement, will oversee management, construction, training andproperty transitions, along with leading RiverRock's continuedefforts in green practices. Before joining RiverRock, he served asdirector of property management for Insignia/ESG, where he workedwith Combs for nine years. There he oversaw property managementoperations for office, industrial and retail portfolios rangingfrom seven million sf to 21 million sf.


[IMGCAP(2)]Kruis, with more than 15 years of experience infinancial management, will be responsible for RiverRock's corporateand joint venture accounting as well as overall financialmanagement. Before joining RiverRock, he was assistant controllerat Orange County-based Western National Group, where he wasresponsible for monthly financial reporting of a $130 million realestate portfolio comprising more than 90 projects totaling 174buildings. Before that, Kruis served as assistant controller forshopping center developer and operator Donahue Schriber. He alsoworked with Core at Insignia/ESG.


RiverRock, in addition to its headquarters location, operatesoffices in Walnut Creek, Woodland Hills, Irvine, Laguna Hills,Rancho Mirage, San Diego, Costa Mesa and the Greater Desert Area.The firm's 8.5 million sf of assignments includes management andleasing of office, industrial and retail properties.
