The ALS Association was represented by executive managing director Jonathan Larsen of Transwestern and Suzanne Lee, a vice president with the tenant advisory team. Building owner Mid Valley Properties represented itself. The ALS Association provides support services to the ALS community and is involved in funding and promoting ALS research.
In the Chicago School of Professional Psychology deal, the school has signed a 125-month lease for space on the eighth floor of a historic building at 617 W. Seventh St. in Downtown L.A. The new Los Angeles location marks the graduate school's first expansion outside of Chicago, according to Larsen, who teamed with Transwestern's J.D. DeRosa in representing the school.
Larsen says that the school chose Downtown L.A. after performing a site selection analysis and examining several different markets. Among the advantages of the building are its location in the business district of Los Angeles, across the street from The Hyatt Regency Hotel, with easy access to all freeways, major bus, Metro Rai, and DASH stops, Larsen says. The building owner, 617 7th Street Associates LLC, was represented by Jon Zanetos and Mark O'Brien of CB Richard Ellis.
