National Steel, known as Nassco, is a General Dynamics company that will be completing its own tenant improvements to the building. Voit notes that Nassco is the only West Coast shipbuilding company capable of building and repairing large, ocean-going vessels. General Dynamics Nassco has been designing and building ships since 1959, specializing in auxiliary and support ships for the U.S. Navy and oil tankers and dry cargo carriers for commercial markets.

Nassco's lease is valued at more than $4 million. The Tidelands project is being marketed by Michael Mossmer, Rob Miller and Brian Kilkenney of Voit Commercial Brokerage.
