Opportunity 5 will execute extensive repositioningprograms primarily in distressed assets with high levels ofvacancy, invest in \"early stage\" development, acquire andreposition portfolios and invest in operating companies thatcontrol high-quality real estate.</p>","<p>According to Vance Maddocks, CEO of CBRE Investors, StrategicPartners US 5 is a continuation of the strategy the CBRE affiliatehas implemented in its previous US funds. The new funds have \"beenadapted to capitalize on the current investment environment,\"Maddocks says.</p>","<p>The Strategic Partners US funds are part of a global closed-endreal estate private equity fund series that has closed 14 funds andinvestment programs since 2000 with $7.5 billion in committedequity and more than $22 billion in total purchasing power.
