Hernandez was previously the SVP and national sales director forGE Capital Solutions Mexico, involved in the management of morethan $3.2 billion in assets and executing more than $2.8 billion indeals with corporate and middle-market companies in a variety ofsectors. He will report to Marcelo Horcel, the company's managingdirector of Latin American Investments.

"Mexico is a good market, there's much growth and opportunity,with a growing middle class," he tells GlobeSt.com. "The industryhere is evolving, and becoming more institutional in terms of theplayers and how investments are done. Mexico is a little moremature than Latin America, so it's a little more challenging comingin where other players are more established." He says one largelyunderserved market is multifamily.

Perroni was formerly the superintendent director of CamargoCorrea Desenvolvimento Imobiliario SA, where he transformed thecompany from an asset management firm to one of the most successfulcommercial real estate investors in the country. He also says LatinAmerica has a very strong market, especially in multifamily, wherevacancies have dropped to the low teens. "The demographics are veryinteresting when contemplating new projects, you have an increasingpopulation that is leaving their parents' home and looking to buyor rent. It's a population that will be going crazy in the next 10years," he tells GlobeSt.com.
