The Vernon Hills, IL-based CDW, a technology products andservices provider, is planning to set up shop in two phases,starting next month. The first space to be lighted is the 45,000-sfsecond floor of the two-story building at 1850 E. Northrop Blvd. Inlate 2008, lights will go on in 25,000 sf of the ground floor. Ininking the deal, Phoenix-based Opus West Corp. has hit 100%occupancy in the 90,054-sf project.

"Originally they weren't going to open the second phase until2009, but because they've had phenomenal access to employees andare hiring quickly, they've been able to push that up," says ThomasF. Adelson, executive vice president in CB Richard Ellis' Phoenixoffice. He tells GlobeSt.com that CDW's search was concentrated inScottsdale and Chandler. Riverwalk Arizona, located at Via deVentura and Indian Bend Road in Scottsdale, was a finalist.Ultimately, Chandler Airport Center's parking and the freewayidentity along Loop 202 made it the winner.

"Opus was aggressive in getting us in there," Adelson says."There were some nice concessions with the package." The CBREnegotiating team included executive vice presidents Lisa Konieczkaand Cal Wessman in Chicago.
