Clyde Stauff, senior vice president in Colliers International'sOrange County office, reports that Bunzl will house itsdistribution and storage operation of paper, plastic andcontainerized consumer products in the 605 Cerritos project, whichis at 15959 Piuma Ave. Stauff notes that the 605 CerritosDistribution Center was one of the only new buildings over 100,000sf constructed in the Mid-Counties area of Los Angeles within thelast 18 months.

Given the property's size and its location, ColliersInternational received "significant interest from multiple businesssectors across the globe," Stauff says. He notes that Bunzl is afast-growing firm that was attracted to the new distributioncenter's proximity to Los Angeles International Airport and theports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

Located directly off of the 605 and 91 freeways, the propertywas completed in February. Industry sources says that the Bunzllease will likely be the largest of the second quarter in theMid-Counties market, where vacancy registers less than 2%.

Bunzl was represented by Mark Sonnenberg of ColliersInternational in Kansas City, along with Tom Cronin and Jed Zaun ofLee & Associates. The property owner, Piuma Properties, wasrepresented by Stauff, along with David Prior and Todd Taugner ofthe Klabin Co.
