"For two decades, Terry was the face of Cushman & Wakefieldto the world, managing strategic media relationships across Americaand internationally," said Mosler in the memo. "More important thanany story idea was the integrity and trustworthiness Terrycommunicated every day. Though known affectionately as 'Bulldog'for his persistence and professional success, those who had thechance to work with him loved him for his personal warmth, sense offair play, and gentleness of spirit. These qualities, along withhis depth of experience, will be dearly missed."

Others in the industry are saddened to hear of Spillane'spassing. "I knew Terry for more than 20 years and he was not onlygood for Cushman & Wakefield, but he was a true gentleman and afriend to me personally. I will miss him," says Michael G. Desiato,vice president and group publisher of Real Estate Media.

Spillane is survived by wife Mary Ann and their two daughters,Carolyn and Kate. He served on the alumni board of his alma mater,Iona College.
