Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but industry sources pegthe 12-year lease in the range of $350 million. Fox Interactivewill consolidate its Los Angeles facilities, currently housingcompanies including MySpace, Fox Sports Interactive and RottenTomatoes. The move will relocate more than 2,000 of the company'semployees onto the campus by June 2009.
The first phase of Horizon project will consist of two,five-story buildings surrounded by pedestrian pathways and opencourtyards. The buildings, designed by Johnson Fain, will beseeking Gold LEED certification.
The project site is at the intersection of Bluff Creek Drive andCampus CenterDrive, in the Campus section in the eastern portion ofthe mixed-use Playa Vista development. For much of the 20thcentury, this property was home to the Hughes Aircraft Co.
