Consolidated has acquired the single-story asset for itscorporate operations center and sales office, in a deal that closedin June. The 22-year-old facility was formerly occupied by lesseeAllied Envelope and the seller was original developer RussoDevelopment of Hackensack. The broker was Greg Sholom of locallybased Team Resources; the sale price was not disclosed.

"The move to New Jersey will give us a number of significantopportunities not only to grow our business, but also to improveour efficiencies," says David Meberg, Consolidated's president.

The revamped building will also have a distinct Consolidatedtouch. Among other things, the warehouse area will feature a numberof industrial flooring systems that will serve as a showroom. Thecompany's business is also growing to the extent that it has thecontract for work at the New York Mets' new Citi Field homestadium, a project that includes more than two dozen differentsurfacing finishes.
