Granite Plaza 290 is rising on a 6.5-acre tract at Texas 290'sjunction of Hempstead Highway, right at the future on/off ramp ofHempstead Tollway. The project consists of a 36,000-sf building at10241 W. Little York Rd. and 48,025-sf structure at 10245 W. LittleYork Rd.

"We are talking to three or four solid prospects," StevenCarter, industrial director in Houston for Dallas-based GraniteProperties, tells GlobeSt.com. "We are catching tenants who missedthe opportunity to relocate to Granite Park and are now looking atGranite Plaza 290." And, he says the prospects want to be in theirnew spaces in first-quarter 2009. "It's a very good sign," headds.

Granite Plaza 290 is two miles northeast of the four-buildingGranite Park, a 251,000-sf development that came on line at the2007 close. The Beltway 8-fronting buildings, situated at 5353-73W. Sam Houston Pkwy., already are 93% leased, according toCarter.
