The insurance firm will be moving its Great Lakes regional office to the building. With the lease, the building will be 88% occupied. The building is at 1300 E. Ninth St., and underwent a $7 million capital improvement project in 2006.
The company joins tenants such as PR Newswire, Hickman & Lowder law firm, HWH Architects, patent law firm Tarolli, Sundheim, Covell & Tummino LLP and Bonezzi Switzer Murphy Polito & Hupp Co. LPA at the 20-story building. KBS officials could not be reached for comment about the lease term or amount. Rental rates are at about $23.56 per sf, according to a second quarter report by Grubb & Ellis.
