"The Lehigh Valley was the best choice primarily from a logisticperspective for parts deliveries and accessibility to the dealerswho will be serviced by the facility," Rob Nemchik, the generalmanager for Porsche Logistics Service tells GlobeSt.com. "TheTraining Center is for technical training of Porsche Dealershippersonnel. It is not a repair shop."

Chrin Commerce Centre will be built in Pennsylvania's LehighValley just outside of Porsche's big market areas such asPhiladelphia and New York City. The valley is 70 miles away fromeach major city.

The new facility will increase operating efficiency and improvecustomer service. "The northeast region was previously serviced outof the Atlanta Distribution Center," says Nemchik. "The time ittakes to get parts to Porsche dealers in the Northeastern US andeastern Canada will be greatly reduced and, at the same time, thecost to ship will decrease. In addition, Porsche will realize thepositive synergies of combining three departments in one location, something already established at our facility in Ontario with agreat deal of success," Nemchik says in a prepared statement.
