Phases two and three, carrying a price tag of $27 million, areslated for a 16-month build-out, according to Jerry Nugent,president and CEO of LSM/NJ. Phase two, fronting Passaic Avenue,will add 70 independent living apartments in a two-story buildingconnected to Crane's Mill's existing central building. Also part ofthe plan are 10 residential cottages and 47 underground parkingspaces.

Phase three will add the assisted living component of thecommunity. It will consist of 20,000 sf of new and renovated space,enlarged activity space, and the conversion of 60 existing unitsinto 66 special needs units.

LSM/NJ has hired the Union, NJ-based Del-Sano Contracting Corp.as general contractor for the two new phases. The project is thesecond Del-Sano has done for the non-profit ministry - in July, thecontractor completed construction of Mt. Olive II, an affordablehousing complex in Flanders, NJ.
