The building was completed in 2000, the company said, and has parking for 900 cars. The facility is fully leased, a company spokesman tells GlobeSt.com. He refused further comment.

The transaction was made in the Santa Fe submarket of the city, the company said in the statement. "Many multinational companies have chosen the area for their headquarters because the available space is exclusively new and comprises large units," the company said.

Union mostly owns properties in Germany. However, there are numerous overseas holdings by the company, including four other properties in Mexico City. Most recently, the firm acquired the 233,000-sf Paseo Del Mar office building in San Diego for $148 million from KBS Real Estate Investment Trust in early August.
