Miller who carries the title of chief operating officer andgeneral counsel, will be involved in all aspects of the company'sactivities, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions,product development and operations as well as directing its legalactivities. Before his tenure with Guardian, Miller was executivevice president and chief financial officer at American Golf Corp.and National Golf Properties.

The new Thompson National headquarters is at 1900 Main St. inIrvine, where the company has expanded and taken over the entire22,464-sf seventh floor of the eight-story, class A officebuilding. Thompson was represented by senior vice president JackMcNutt of the Newport Beach office of Grubb & Ellis Co. in itsnew headquarters lease. It has retained the 7,444 sf of officespace at 1901 Main St. in Irvine where its headquarters waspreviously located.

The hiring of Miller as COO and the expansion into the newheadquarters follow other recent moves by Thompson National thatinclude the hiring of Robert Cade as managing director of ThompsonNational Properties and chief investment officer of the TNP DebtFund LP. Cade was previously director at Wachovia Securities in theReal Estate Capital Markets Group since 2004, where he was thesenior CMBS credit officer, based in New York.
