The company has not yet confirmed the exact location of theproposed store but plans to do so at a press event scheduled for 11a.m. local time. A search through city documents suggests thedevelopment site is an approximately 14-acre parcel abutting thenorth end of Centennial Promenade, a power center at theintersection of Interstate 25 and County Line Road, which is alsohome to the super-regional Park Meadows Mall.
The property owners recently were granted a rezone of theproperty in order to attract a destination retailer ofapproximately 225,000 sf, which is Ikea's preferred buildingsize.
