CENTENNIAL, CO-Ikea, the mega-box home furnishings retailer from Sweden will detail plans this morning for its first store in Colorado. The store will be located in the City of Centennial, a southeast suburb of Denver. An opening date has not yet been set.

The company has not yet confirmed the exact location of the proposed store but plans to do so at a press event scheduled for 11 a.m. local time. A search through city documents suggests the development site is an approximately 14-acre parcel abutting the north end of Centennial Promenade, a power center at the intersection of Interstate 25 and County Line Road, which is also home to the super-regional Park Meadows Mall.
