"These markets are both key distribution markets, and our locations are very close to expressways and population centers," Dave Riefe, SVP with ProLogis, tells GlobeSt.com. "They are in very good strategic locations for Kraft for that reason. These are key facilities and integral to their supply chain."
Kraft will maintain its occupancy at a 265,000-sf building and a 528,670-sf building in the Prologis Kraft Distribution Park. The company has had the space, at 4000 Miller Circle North and 2600 Brodhead Rd. along the Interstate 78 corridor in eastern Pennsylvania, since 1998.
In Ohio, Kraft has renewed leases at two buildings at ProLogis Foreign Trade Center, in the Columbus metropolitan area. The facilities are at 2235 and 2225 Spiegel Drive in Groveport, OH, and are 510,408 sf and 165,133 sf, respectively. The properties are near the intersection of Interstate 270 and Highway 23, and close to the Rickenbacker International Airport and Interstates 70 and 71.
Kraft occupies all four buildings fully. Riefe would not disclose the lease rates or terms, but said all were long-term leases.
"In both markets the buildings have a similar format, where they have a large refrigerated building and a smaller dry warehouse combined to form a campus," Riefe says. "They are wonderful buildings with a lot of trailer parking."
