Virco's headquarters is a concrete tilt-up structure featuring50,640 sf of office space, 31 feet of warehouse clear height, 35truck-high loading positions and on-site parking for more than 500vehicles. Virco employs approximately 425 workers at the site.

Publicly held Virco is a leading maker and supplier of furnitureand equipment for K-12 schools. Commenting on the lease extension,Bob Dose, Virco's chief financial officer, said: "Virco's WestCoast location provides lead-time and service advantages to ourmany education customers west of the Rockies, despite short-termbudget issues affecting expenditures by schools."

A green benefit of the lease extension involves continuing tominimize fuel consumption for deliveries, especially compared tocompetitors located outside this region, Dose points out. Inrecognition of its industry-leading recycling and resource recoveryachievements, Virco has received numerous awards and commendations,including designation as a charter member of the US EnvironmentalProtection Agency's WasteWise Hall of Fame.
