MIAMI-A second Homewood Suites by Hilton location has opened inthe Airport West submarket at 3590 NW 74th Ave. The new hotel has atotal of 124 studio, one- and two-bedroom residential-style suites,with amenities including a shuttle to nearby Miami InternationalAirport, an outdoor swimming pool, 900 sf of meeting space, anexecutive business center and free Internet access.

The hotel is owned and managed by Boca Raton-based EconomosProperties and is part of the company's $50-million project forthat area, including a 190-room Hilton Garden Inn and 13,000-sfrestaurant pad. "We continue to see strong demand in theextended-stay hotel segment and feel this property helps to fill aneed in the vicinity of Miami International Airport," says W. BryanBoger, general manager for the Homewood Suites property.
