The new FallTech facility is a class A warehouse anddistribution facility that will represent a relocation and anexpansion for the firm, which manufactures mechanical equipment andsystems used in a number of industries to prevent falls andinjuries to workers. Its product line includes roofers' kits,lifelines, harnesses and other equipment used on the job to preventfalls.

FallTech paid nearly $6.9 million for its building, where itexpects to relocate in December and employ about 70 workers. Thecompany plans to add 4,300 sf of office space to the manufacturingand distribution building, which is located on approximately twoacres of land. FallTech bought the building from Bixby Village GolfLLC, which was represented by James Min and Lary Carlton ofColliers International's Torrance office. FallTech also operatesfacilities in Houston, Indianapolis and Charlotte, NC.

In the Simi Valley transaction, Turbo Properties LLC, a holdingcompany owned by the principals of Kelly Aerospace, has sold afully leased 34,875-sf industrial property at 2255-2267 Agate Courtto Spar Investment Co., a real estate investor and developer basedin Calabasas, CA, for $5.35 million. Kelly Aerospace wasrepresented by Bram White, executive vice president of DAUMCommercial Real Estate Services, along with DAUM's Stuart Scott.Grant Harris of Lee & Associates represented the buyer.
